QuickiePlay Legal

Privacy Policy

QuickiePlay keeps data collection narrow and uses it to run the product, improve play, and protect the service.

Effective Date: February 22, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to QuickiePlay. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in a safe and responsible way. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

For international players, this policy also addresses relevant requirements under the General Data Protection Regulation for European Union users and the California Consumer Privacy Act for California users.

By accessing or playing QuickiePlay, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Types of Data Collected

We collect the minimum data needed to provide, protect, and improve the QuickiePlay experience. The types of information we may collect include:

  • Account data. This may include your email address, username, avatar, authentication provider, marketing preference, and account settings.
  • Core gameplay data. This may include game sessions, match state, scores, turn order, win, loss, or draw results, lobby or invite state, game progress, and timestamps needed to run games.
  • Gameplay interaction data. This may include choices, votes, rankings, guesses, taps, swipes, drag movements, reaction timing, drawing strokes, prompt responses, match outcomes, and game completion data.
  • Technical and analytics data. This may include device type, browser type, operating system, approximate region, error logs, performance events, page views, game completion events, and drop off events.
  • Optional sensor data. This may include microphone, camera, motion, or orientation data. We collect this only where a game or feature specifically asks for permission.

3. How We Use Data

  • Service delivery. To manage sessions, save progress, and match players.
  • Improvement. To analyze gameplay patterns, traffic, and performance.
  • Security. To detect fraud, cheating, or unauthorized access.
  • Compliance. To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

4. Gameplay Data, AI Improvement and Privacy-Protected Research

QuickiePlay games may generate gameplay interaction data, such as choices, votes, rankings, taps, swipes, timing, reaction speed, drawings, guesses, match outcomes, and similar game activity.

We use this data to operate QuickiePlay, show game results, improve gameplay, detect bugs or abuse, understand game performance, and improve our systems. Some gameplay interaction data may also help us evaluate, improve, or train AI powered systems, including systems used for gameplay, safety, analytics, recommendations, quality testing, and model evaluation.

QuickiePlay does not sell directly identifiable personal information. We do not use account email addresses, login details, payment information, private contact details, authentication tokens, raw invite links, or support messages for AI model training.

Where gameplay data is used for AI improvement, research, analytics, or model evaluation, we aim to remove or separate direct identifiers and use de-identified, aggregated, or pseudonymised data where practical. Pseudonymised data is not the same as fully anonymous data, because re-identification may still be possible in some circumstances.

QuickiePlay may work with trusted service providers, research partners, or technology partners to help analyse, evaluate, or improve gameplay systems and AI models. Where we share gameplay datasets for these purposes, we aim to exclude direct account identifiers and apply privacy protective safeguards.

Players can turn off optional AI data contribution where this setting is available. QuickiePlay games will still work when optional AI data contribution is turned off, although some optional research, experimental, or sensor based features may not be available.

5. What We Do Not Use for AI Training

We do not use the following information for AI model training:

  • account email addresses
  • login credentials
  • payment information
  • private contact details
  • authentication tokens
  • raw invite links
  • support messages
  • marketing subscription status
  • raw security logs
  • government identifiers or financial details

6. Required vs Optional Data

Some data is required to run QuickiePlay, such as match state, scores, turns, and basic technical logs. This helps games load, continue, show results, and stay secure.

Optional AI data contribution can be turned off where this setting is available. Normal gameplay should still work when optional AI data contribution is off.

Some experimental, research, sensor based, or AI powered features may not be available if the relevant data permission is disabled.

7. De-identification and Pseudonymisation

When we use gameplay data for analytics, research, model evaluation, or AI improvement, we aim to remove or separate direct identifiers where practical. We may use aggregated, de-identified, or pseudonymised data.

Pseudonymised data is not the same as fully anonymous data because re-identification may still be possible in some circumstances. We do not promise that every dataset is completely anonymous.

8. Trusted Partners and Service Providers

We may work with trusted service providers, research partners, and technology partners who help us host QuickiePlay, operate game sessions, analyse performance, detect abuse, improve gameplay, and evaluate or improve AI powered systems.

These partners should only receive the data needed for the relevant purpose. Where we share gameplay datasets for analytics, research, or AI improvement, we aim to exclude direct account identifiers and apply privacy protective safeguards.

  • Development and infrastructure providers. We use services such as Vercel for hosting and Supabase for backend and database services.
  • Analytics providers. We use Google Analytics and PostHog to measure usage and improve the product.
  • Safety, research, technology, and AI service providers. We may use providers that help detect abuse, test quality, analyse gameplay systems, or evaluate AI powered systems.

9. Data Storage and Security

QuickiePlay is based in Australia and your data is primarily processed there. We use industry standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the data we handle.

10. Children and Teens

QuickiePlay is not intended for children under 13. Players under 18 should use QuickiePlay only with appropriate parent or guardian permission where required.

We do not knowingly use children's personal information for AI training datasets. Optional AI data contribution is not available to users we know are under 18 unless a lawful consent process is in place.

11. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including operating QuickiePlay, maintaining accounts, supporting safety and security, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and improving the service.

Data type Typical retention approach
Account data Kept while the account is active, then deleted or de-identified after account deletion unless retention is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Match and game session data Kept while needed to run the game, show results, maintain game history, or resolve issues.
Raw gameplay event logs Kept for a limited period for debugging, analytics, abuse prevention, and product improvement.
De-identified, aggregated, or pseudonymised gameplay datasets May be kept for longer term analytics, research, model evaluation, or AI improvement.
Technical and security logs Kept for a limited period for security, fraud prevention, debugging, and compliance.
Marketing preferences Kept while the user remains subscribed and for compliance records.
Optional sensor data Only kept where needed for the specific feature, and preferably processed temporarily or not stored unless clearly explained.

12. Marketing Consent

Marketing is optional. If you choose to receive marketing messages, you can unsubscribe at any time.

Marketing consent is separate from optional AI data contribution. We do not use marketing subscription status for AI model training.

13. Your Choices and Controls

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. You can also request account deletion.

You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time. Where available, you can turn optional AI data contribution on or off in your settings. You can also control microphone, camera, and motion permissions through your device or browser settings.

If you delete your account or withdraw optional AI data contribution, we will stop using account linked gameplay data for future optional AI training datasets where reasonably possible. This may not remove information that has already been de-identified, aggregated, or included in statistical outputs where we can no longer reasonably identify you.

To make a request, contact us at quickieplayapp@gmail.com.

14. Game-Specific Data Notices

Some games may show a short data notice explaining the main gameplay signals collected for that game, such as choices, votes, timing, drawings, gestures, guesses, or sensor permissions. These notices are designed to help players understand what each game uses before they play.

15. International Data Transfers

If you use QuickiePlay outside Australia, your information may be transferred to and processed in regions where our service providers operate.

  • For EU users. Transfers are based on contract performance or legitimate interests, with appropriate safeguards in place.
  • For California users. QuickiePlay does not sell directly identifiable personal information.

16. Policy Updates

This policy may change over time. If we materially change how we use gameplay data, optional AI data contribution, or partner sharing, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request additional consent.

17. Contact Us
